Welcome to the
North Industry Christian Church Family

NICC’s purpose and goal is to “Love God, Love People.” Our “church” family knows that the “church” is not the building we worship in, rather “The church” is each one of us living for God every day of our lives. NICC’s goal is to be a part of growing “God’s Church” that lives, breathes and worships; in our building, in our community and throughout the world. We hope that you become part of the family here at NICC but more importantly, we pray that you become a part of the family of God!

The mission of North Industry Christian Church is to Love God, Love People.  We strive to do this through all that we do.

Leadership Team

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Our church family is led by a group of elders who seek God’s guidance and wisdom for the family here at North Industry Christian Church.

Staff Team

Steve Kimbrel, Senior Minister (Elder)

As the primary teaching pastor, Steve has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. He has served at  NICC for twenty-five years. He and his wife, Marilyn, have two grown sons, with lovely wives and five grandchildren.

Ed Barnes, Family Minister (Elder)

Hi! I’m Ed. People call me a few things around here. I’ve been titled the Youth Minister, Children’s Minister, Family Minister or just Mr. Ed. “Mr. Ed” is just fine with me. I work mainly with kids and families. I’ve been a part of the North Industry Christian Church family my whole life. In fact, something you may not have known, 5 generations of my family have considered this church their home.

I married Peach (Deborah) 21 years ago and we now have 3 great kids. Peach teaches Kindergarten in East Canton and absolutely loves all of her school family there. I guess you’ve noticed that working with kids is something we both love to do. She’s been teaching for over 23 years and I’ve been in ministry over 25 years.

Jeff Franks, Community Minister (Elder)

Jeff has been serving at NICC, his home church, for over twenty years and in ministry for over 23 years.  He has led the sports and outreach ministries and encouraged a partnership with other church families in our community and county through these efforts.  Jeff is a graduate of Malone University and also serves at the Director of Bridge Point Community Services. Jeff is a former board secretary for the international sports ministry, Church Sports & Recreation Ministers (CSRM).   Jeff and his wife, Rae Ann, have four children.

Jessica Weber, Director of Worship Ministries

Jessica Weber became the Director of Worship Ministries in September of 2012 and has been truly blessed by the opportunity and the family she’s come to know and love at NICC.  She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Mount Union and a Master of Arts in Music degree from New York University.  Jessica is currently on the music faculty at the University of Mount Union where she teaches music courses as well as as private voice and piano lessons.  Jessica’s passion for music ministry seeps into all her work and she deeply enjoys instilling her students with a sense of God’s love and devoted presence in their lives.

Sue NeadingDirector of The Friend-Ship Child Center

Sue has served as the Director of the Friend-Ship Child Care Center since its opening in 2000.  She holds an AA in Early Childhood Education from Ashworth University.  Sue has a calling for working with young children and their families, and considers it a blessing to be able to work in the center.  She loves spending her free time with her husband, Mark, and their children and grandchildren.  She and Mark have three grown children and four beautiful grandchildren.  Mark and Sue deal in antiques, and love doing that on week-ends, as well.

Brenna CaleySecretary

Brenna became the Secretary at NICC in November of 2012. She met her husband Matthew when they were both attending college at KSU, they have now been married for 11 years.  She and her husband Matthew have two beautiful girls, Audrey and Isabelle.
